We washed and cleaned the classroom in hope that Lakshmi the Goddess of health and wealth would visit us.
We participated in making Diwali cards, colourings, envelopes and word searches. We sequenced the story if Rama and Sita and the demon king. We watched a Diwali celebrations video and saw how Hindus celebrate.
We danced to indian music.
We lit out Divas and lanterns and had our Diwali party food.
Vegetable samosas
Onion bhajees
Cakes and crisps!
Lakshmi the Goddess of health and wealth was obviously very impressed with our clean classroom and all our Diwali lights that she was able to find her way to our class. The following morning this message was waiting for us.
She had left a golden chocolate coin for everyone.
