Another busy week

Another week has passed and the children are really enjoying the new topic, especially with all the lovely sunshine we've been having.  We have made the most of it and the children have already explored the school grounds in hunt of mini beasts, identified lots of different trees and plants that grow in the grounds and had lots of lovely ideas for finding out more.
The Sind flower seeds were planted last Thursday and this morning 19 of them have started to grow.  We are choosing children to water them every day and learning all about what plants need to grow.
In maths we have started looking at capacity and estimating and the children have been busy writing about the story "what made Tiddalick laugh" which is a traditional aboriginal tale.
Many thanks for your continued effort with the children's homework, it is always a pleasure to read and reinforces what they have learnt in school.
Monday 15th May is an INSET day, so no school for the children.
