Welcome back!
Well, the last term is finally here! We have lots of fun activities approaching this term, including sports day and a trip to Barry Island. Hopefully the lovely weather is here to stay, so could you please ensure that children have drinks with them, suncream applied or bought to school and a sun hat.
Language, Literacy and Communication

Over the next few weeks we will be looking at invitations. We will investigate what we need to put into an invitation, when we would send them and we will create our own. If you have any invitations that you no longer need, could you please bring them to school? The more styles we can discuss the better! Thank you!

Mathematical Development

We will be learning to tell the time over the coming weeks, focusing on o'clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to. We will be looking at our personal daily routines, what time we wake up, have breakfast, leave for school etc.

Other Areas of Learning

Continuing to look at differences between our locality and other areas, we will be expecting a visit from Mr. Barry Island himself! We will ask lots of questions to find out more information and develop our oracy skills.
We will also be learning about foods that are healthy and unhealthy and how they affect our bodies. We will investigate what ingredients can be used to make a healthy snack and look at producing our own.
Of course we will be practising for sports day with some extra P.E sessions so please could you make sure that the children have trainers in school.

I hope the children have all had a well deserved rest and I look forward to hearing all about their half term on Monday!
