Diwali
Our focus for the next fortnight is the hindu festival of lights 'Diwali'. We will be learning all about the traditions associated with the festival and also the story of Rama and Sita.
Language, Literacy and Communication

Explore the features of an acrostic poem.
Hold and edit a sentence using capital letters, full stops and connectives.
Mathematical Development
Recap bonds to 10/100 and use to explore fact families.
Measuring using non-standard and standard units.
Continue work on tens and units to 20/100.
We have a busy week ahead! Christmas concert practise is well underway and each child had a letter on Friday with their part and any lines they need to learn for the concert.
A few reminders...
MONDAY - Christmas photo shoot - please bring a prop to wear for the photo. The photos will be available to buy during the Christmas fayre on Friday 30th November.
THURSDAY - For our PE this week, the children will be participating in a Spanish soccer taster session. Please can you ensure they have trainers for this session?
Santa Visit - If you haven't already done so, please can you send in the permission slip and payment for our trip to Cefn Mably?
HFW - I am currently assessing the children's high frequency words. If they have words in their reading diaries, these will be updated once the assessments are complete. Continue to work on reading the lists that have been sent home.
