Wythnos 6

Saesneg
In Language this week, we are going to be planning our Welsh Writing Competition entry for the school Eisteddfod. We will be using an image to help us write about Seren and Sbarc's journey from the mountains to the sea. We will be developing a bank of adjectives and using our senses to describe the features they will come across on their journey.

Mathemateg
In maths this week we will be completing some addition work using odd and even numbers. I wonder if you will spot a pattern?
Can you remember which numbers are odd and which ones are even? Take a look at the video and poster below to remind you.

Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day is Tuesday. However, we will be using our afternoon sessions this week to complete a carousel of activities to raise awareness of being safe on the Internet. We will be creating examples of suitable usernames and profile pictures, looking at a range of emoticons and what they mean and creating a class charter to be safe online.

Please refer back to a previous blog post to see how parents can support us with this very important message.

Miss Jordan
Friday is Miss Jordan's last day with us at Penygawsi. She has been a valuable member of our class team since before Christmas. Both children and staff have enjoyed having her in class and we wish her well with the rest of her teaching degree. Pob lwc Miss Jordan!

World Book Day
World Book Day is Thursday 5th March. On the morning of the 5th, we will be walking to the library to spend some time finding out how a library works and reading a range of different books. (More information to follow) We are looking for some volunteers to help us walk the children to the library then back again. Please speak to us at the door if you are able to help.

Have a wonderful week off with your family and friends. School starts back on Monday 24th February.
