Bore da,
I hope you're all ok and having lots of fun at home. Twinkle has been up to all kinds of mischief in the Dollman house since he arrived last week...
On Friday, he made a snowman using my toilet rolls!
On Saturday, he made a zip wire across my living room!
On Sunday, he caught Noah and Charlie's elf 'Elfie' and trapped him inside a glass!
I wonder what he will get up to this week?
Home Learning Activities
Here are some suggested activities to work through this week. There is no expectation to complete them all, just choose a few that you would like to do.
I have loved looking at the work you did at home last week. I have made a 'Home Learning 2020' folder in your child's HWB file, so please can any work/photos from this week (and any future home learning), be uploaded to this file?
Can you make a Christmas card for someone in your family? Decorate the front with a Christmas themed picture. You could even collage or paint your picture?
* Write your name inside.
** Write: To (their name) Love from (Your name).
*** Write To, Love from and a little message, using a capital letter and full stop.
Watch a Christmas film and talk about your favourite part. Can you make a 'freeze frame' of that part and ask someone to take a photo? A freeze frame is when you recreate the scene using your face/body but no movement. Imagine you were pressing the pause button on the remote control, what would you see?
These are my two favourites - can you guess which films they are from?
Use the 'jit5 paint' programme to make a Christmas picture.
Read some Christmas stories. Here is one of my favourites...
Christmas is a time for giving. Talk about someone you would like the Jolly Postman to deliver a present to. Who would you choose and why? What present would you give them?
You could draw a picture and write a word/sentence about it using the 'mix' programme in jit5.
Play bingo - Can you make your own bingo cards and practise your number formation, making sure your numbers face the right way?
*Numbers to 5/10
** Numbers to 20
*** Number to 100
If you fancy a challenge, instead of the bingo caller calling out the number, they could ask questions for you to answer such as 1 more than..., double... and you cross off the answers on your bingo card.
Play some of your favourite board games together with your family. Monopoly Junior and Cluedo Junior are the favourites at the moment in our house.Choose a Christmas game from Top Marks to practise your maths skills.

Put on your Christmas jumpers, dresses, hats and headbands and perform your favourite Christmas song for your family. Can you add some actions too? Set up a stage area, grab a microphone and ask a grown up to record your performance.
Test your memory with the Musical Christmas Wreath game.
Make some delicious Christmas treats. Here are some ideas...
Make some reindeer food ready to sprinkle outside on Christmas Eve. Here are some simple, eco and wildlife friendly recipes:
I have also shared some Christmas activity sheets in our Home-Learning folder on HWB.
We love to follow Cosmic Kids yoga in class. Here are some Christmas themed videos to join in with at home:
As always, if you need anything or have any questions, please let me know.
Have a fun week : )
