In our Literacy sessions we will be continuing our work on posters and will be planning and writing another type of poster - a For Sale Poster. Last week we looked at the features needed in a poster selling a house. Ask your child which features they remember and which ones they will try very hard to include in their own this week. Take a look at some example posters below to help jog their memories.
Mathemateg / Maths
We will be continuing to work on and master adding to 10 and 20 by counting on. The children will be using a variety of techniques to help them. We will be counting on using a number line, counting on using concrete materials and also some will be using their brains only.

Investigating Autumn
We would like to create an Autumn Table and need your help! If you have any autumnal items at home that you would be happy for us to use in class please send them in with your child this week. If you are out for a walk with the dog or just stretching your legs and come across some acorns and autumn leaves please can you collect some for our table?
Items we would like:
- acorns
- conkers (in and out of shell)
- autumn leaves - real or artificial
- pine cones
- pumpkin (big or small)
- picture books
- reference books
Here's to another fun filled week. Don't forget we are looking to see if you are all making good choices so that we can fill our jar and have a treat! Remember to come into class calmly each day and to show us how you are all good sitters and listeners; ready to learn.
